If your choice is “Ignorance is Bliss”, you can stop reading now. Wait for the aspects of this game that aren’t this mad. They will come in abundance. And you can roll on them alone. However, if your choice is “Truth is Liberation”, brace yourself because it might be too bitter even for your taste. But go on, keep reading if you wish to. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you.
My advice? If you’re stuck within a simulation? Enjoy what you can while you can. Play on your terms, as much as your scope of free will (or “free will”) allows. Watching for what would be counterproductive. This is an open-world game. That can be navigated in countless ways. And you cry, you laugh, you rest, and go on again. Pushing the limits. The realism is such that it is all arguably real, too.
I could share my thoughts and feelings on all of this, but that would have me going off forever, and it might be more fruitful to instead invite you to go off about these yourself. To summarize my opinion, though, in the future, this is child’s play. And meaning and purpose can still be found.
A couple of “silly” questions that are suddenly relevant:
- What came before, the chicken or the egg?
- If a tree falls and there is nobody (and nothing) around to hear it, does it make a sound?
