The Artist's RPG / Colors
With how often numbers tend to be brought up, I believe we’re due for having them integrated. So I sorted out their ‘wiring’ and ended up with 27 numbers, 28 counting 0. Many of the colors surprised me with where they turned out. And ultimately, seems like this is how they go.
We can see them as Stages, Associations, and Attributions. Stages referring to categories within development, Associations referring to particular meanings each number could have (4 examples for now), and Attributions referring to numbers that are ‘attributed’ to a person, life, or situation. E.g., I’ve always considered 8 my lucky number, not only because it is my day of birth, but because there’s plenty I like about it, while 16 had been coming up for me a disproportionate amount of times (school listings), and 27, well, let’s just say sh*t went down horribly when I was that age. And now I get to see their colors, at least within the universe of The Artist’s RPG. It would be as though numbers can tell you more about what is going on, as “the language of the universe”.
And speaking of language, guess what also fits with this amount of numbers. The Alphabet! Wanna color letters for the heck of it or maybe even have encoded messages within your artwork? You can. We can. I can. Already looking forward to trying this out.
Lastly, I couldn’t go without wondering about a few aspects of this game and had to check how numbers fit with them. Quite suitably, Sunday, as Sun’s day, is Yellow. Yet, not only that, it is closely accompanied by its complementary color, Purple. That’s awesome. Also, I was bummed that the color of Infinity was 9 instead of 8, until I realized that it fits better as ‘an alteration of 8’ rather than 8 itself, and that the color that goes with 8 also already has a Catalyst symbol that looks like 8. I am more than pleased with these coincidences.
Beware, though, once you start seeing numbers everywhere, you can start going mad. But I didn’t want to deprive you of this feature. Proceed at your own risk and with caution!
